Happy Halloween 2008

I haven't written in this blog for over 6 months. What started out as good intentions when I started this blog quickly disappeared when my workaholic husband decided we needed to move halfway across the country. And of course living up to his name he was not home to help with all the things that moving entailed. He's very lucky all the ladies in this family are so fond of him. :) So The V Family moved from beautiful upstate New York to the heart of the Midwest with all her miles AND miles of corn fields. This Michigan girl is really missing her Great Lakes since Lake Ontario was only 10 minutes away from our house in NY. Somehow the sea of crops aren't exactly the same. We are slowly, and I mean slowly settling into our new house, new school and new life. Here is a picture of the girls in the costumes that Grandma Sherry made for them this year. Which are fabulous as they are every year. Thank you, Grandma!! :)

Time Flies

It really does! Eight years ago today I had been a mother for approx. 32 hours. I was sore, tired and over-whelmed. And little did I know at that time that my life had changed and nothing about it would ever be the same. I would never sleep soundly again for fear that I might be needed. I would never hear about world events and think about them quite the same way. I would always think, how does this impact my child. I would never think about my needs first like perhaps I did before I became a mother. I also never would have believed you could love someone so much that you just met, but it is true. I've been a mother for eight years now and it's been the scariest, most wonderful thing ever. I can't even imagine my life before I was a mother. And now I am a mother times three! So thank you Belly-Pie for changing my life eight years ago!! Happy Birthday to you wonderful girl and Happy Mother's day to me!

Welcome to our blog!

It seems as though everyone has a blog these days. Don't you think so? Friends, family, famous people, I even saw a blog written from a dog's perspective on life. In these blogs people share the stories of their day to day lives, cute pictures of their family or even silly things that their kids have done or said. They complain about things that bother them, critic their favorite shows and even share yummy recipes. So not wanting to be the only family without a blog, I figured we'd jump on the bandwagon. Therefore consider this my first official blog post and the beginning of my journey into the world of blogging. :)
